Australian credit union CUA has launched Apple Pay on its eftpos rediCARDs, allowing cardholders to carry out easy, secure, fast and real-time payments through their iPhone or Apple watch.
With this option already offered for CUA Visa debit and credit card members, the latest move now makes Apple Pay available on the entire range of cards issued by the firm.

When a customers will use a rediCARD with Apple Pay, a device account number will assigned, encrypted and securely stored on the device’s Secure Element, instead of storing the original card numbers on the device or Apple servers.
All eftpos transactions made through this approach will be authorised through a unique, one-time dynamic security code.
CUA head of Payments Matthew Lobdell said: “CUA is working to be available to our members anywhere, anytime, and that means giving them a choice in how they interact with CUA and manage their banking, including access to digital channels and Apple Pay.
“We’re excited today to extend the convenience of secure, in-store mobile payments to even more of our members.
