In an effort to make healthcare affordable amid the recent coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, SmartHealth PayCard has unveiled plans to forgo the yearly fee for applicants of its new credit card.
The annual charge for the first year will be waived off for SmarthHealth PayCard Mastercard credit cardholders for the coming three months.
The card covers multiple areas of healthcare including preventative care, emergencies, dental, mental health, hearing, and vision, among others.

Launched last month, the SmartHealth PayCard Mastercard is solely dedicated to healthcare purposes.
The cardholders can avail a prescription savings programme, which offers up to 75% savings at pharmacies across the US.
Up to $5,000 Accidental Medical Expenses coverage and $5,000 Accidental Death Insurance are also extended to the cardholders.
Covid-19 updates
The Covid-19 outbreak, which started from the Chinese city of Wuhan, has claimed over 7,100 lives so far. The total number of confirmed cases has exceeded 182,000.
Recently, tech giant Apple said that card users can skip March payment without incurring interest charges in the wake of the pandemic.
In response to the outbreak, Irish bank AIB suspended its earlier decision to impose a fee on contactless card payments.
Visa and Mastercard have already lowered their revenue outlook on coronavirus scare.
