According to the bank, the new feature will allow customers to convert their credit card transactions of QAR1,000 ($274) or more into ‘Easy Pay’ instalments, payable in three, six or 12 month instalment plans at the special introductory rate of 0%.
“The Easy Pay launch follows a number of market firsts for Commercial Bank Credit Cards, including the launch of FlyMiles, the first Credit Card loyalty programme that allows customers to redeem reward points to any destination, with any airline and at any time,” the bank said in a statement.

In September last year, Commercial Bank also launched Qatar’s first credit and debit co-branded football card with Manchester United.
Recently, the bank also launched the first instant issuance card kiosk in its D-Ring Road Branch, allowing customers to receive an activated and personalised debit or credit card instantly.
Dean Proctor, Commercial Bank EGM for retail & consumer banking, said: “Easy Pay is a unique feature on our credit cards that not only helps our customers in planning their monthly expenses better, but it also saves them money by paying back purchases at 0% interest.
“We believe that Easy Pay enhances the appeal of our already popular Credit Cards and for the first time in Qatar, this feature is available through our state-of-the-art Internet banking platform,” Proctor added.
