CloudZync, a UK-based mobile wallet company, has unveiled a new Android version of Zwallet mobile wallet app, designed to allow shoppers pay for their items using smartphone.

The new Mobile App will allow customers to pay for items at retailers, digitally manage all of their loyalty cards, access exclusive offers, buy and redeem digital gift cards from a single easy-to-use smartphone dashboard.

Available to Apple, Google Play and Windows phones, the free mobile wallet app will allow shoppers to create an account within minutes.

According to CloudZync, Zwallet will allow customers to make payments in-store, online and over the phone with participating stores.

Consumers access an average of eight loyalty schemes through their smartphone, according to a study conducted by CloudZync over 2,000 British adults.

The research revealed that nearly a third of Android users (32%) have access at least one loyalty scheme from their mobile phone.

According to the research, almost one in ten users (8%) of the Google-built platform would more likely to go into a new shop if they received a discount or offer over their phone, and another 8% of them would be more likely to sign up to loyalty schemes if they could keep them all in the same place.

CloudZync co-founder and CTO, Andrew Smith, said: "By launching on Android we can now offer one of the largest communities of smartphone users in the UK access to a new way to pay while and all of their favourite loyalty schemes, voucher schemes and much more – all from a single display."

CloudZync has added mobile eGift cards and vouchers to its Zwallet apps in January this year, designed to allow shoppers to buy and redeem digital gift cards and access the local deals from retailers.
