Citibank has launched a new credit card, dubbed Citi Rewards+. This will provide customers more reward points on day-to-day transactions.

Beginning 10 January this year, the new card will offer up to 10 ThankYou Points on every purchase. In addition this comes with 10% points back for the initial 100,000 points redeemed per year.

Furthermore, cardholders will get two points for every $1 spent at supermarkets and gas stations for the first $6,000 per year. This will be followed by one point per $1 spent thereafter.

The Citi Rewards+ card will also allow users to earn one ThankYou Point for every $1 spent on all other purchases.

Citi ThankYou Points can be redeemed across a wide variety of categories. These include gift cards, travel rewards, statement credits and cash rewards.

The points can also be used for complete or partial purchase at participating Shop with Points partners such as Amazon.com and Expedia.com. Furthermore it can be used for a statement credit at BestBuy.com, among others.
