Citi welcomed an interactive member to its
rewards-based ‘ThankYou’ credit card suite through a partnership
with advanced payment card manufacturer, Dynamics.
The Citi ThankYou Prestige 2G card is
currently under a pilot phase with a ‘selected group of its
existing customers’ and features two buttons that allows consumers
to redeem rewards points at the checkout.

The latest addition, which is powered by
Dynamics’ Card 2.0 technology, gives consumers the option to pay
for their purchase with credit by selecting the ‘Regular Credit’
button or redeem points or cash rewards by pushing the ‘Request
Rewards’ button.
When the cardholder presses one of the
buttons, the card is activated and the corresponding light will
turn on to confirm the option selected.
“Citi is continually speaking with existing
and prospective customers to better understand what they are
seeking in a rewards card,” said Terry O’Neil, EVP of Citi’s North
America Credit Card division.
“With this in mind, we have developed the new
Citi ThankYou product suite which offers more opportunities to earn
points faster and in more meaningful ways.”

By GlobalDataThe ThankYou product suite, which was launched
earlier this week, has been designed to create a stronger link
between Citi’s credit card offerings and its ThankYou rewards
programme. Four credit cards have been developed to provide
consumers with choice and flexibility. They are: Citi ThankYou
Card, Citi ThankYou Preferred Card, Citi ThankYou Premier Card and
Citi Prestige Card.
Citi claims each card provides different ways
for customers to earn rewards points and there is no limit to the
number of points customers can earn.
