Bitcoin wallet provider Circle Internet Financial has added near field communication (NFC) to its Android app to enable users to transact with the digital currency with a tap on their smart phones.
The integration will allow users to perform in-store purchases at physical locations using touch-less payment services wherever bitcoin and NFC are accepted.

Anchoring in the predictions of Juniper Research that estimates about half a billion people around the world to use NFC-enabled transactions by 2019, Circle will join BitPay in leveraging the technology to offer crypto currency payment services.
The digital money platform has first launched its digital wallet in late September preceding the launch of its mobile app in November.
Circle spokesperson PS Neville said in a blog post: "Since our friends at BitPay have also enabled NFC, thousands of merchant locations worldwide will support this feature."
