Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) has partnered with Canadian telecoms operator TELUS to launch a new co-branded credit card that offers reward options to both TELUS and CIBC customers.
Dubbed as CIBC TELUS Rewards Visa card, the new card will provide TELUS loyalty rewards to clients on their everyday spending.
With this card, customers can earn reward points on purchases and redeem them for a range of TELUS products and services, including smartphones, tablets, charitable donations, travel passes and TELUS prepaid cards.
The card that comes with no annual fee will allow customers to earn one point for every dollar spent using the rewards card and earn 1.5 points on purchases at grocery and gas retailers as well as on TELUS purchases made on the rewards card.
In addition, customers can also earn extra points by signing up for pre-authorized payments and e-bill, or adding services to their account, including Optik TV or adding more subscribers.
CIBC products and payments executive vice president Jenny Fagg said: "With our new co-branded card, clients are able to earn rewards that will allow them to upgrade to the newest smartphones, accessories and mobile services they want faster and at lower cost.
