ChangeGroup, a London-based currency company, has joined the LINK ATM Scheme from the UK interbank shared cash machine network LINK.

Founded in 1992, ChangeGroup is a retail foreign exchange company which has 120 branches in 22 cities across 11 countries in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.

Paul Meehan, director of ChangeGroup, said: "Making currency accessible to our customers is key and we’re excited to be launching our new sterling and currency dispensing ATMs this year.

"Working with LINK allows us to offer our products up to the widest possible audience, and we’re extremely proud to be a part of their network."

Founded in 1985, LINK’s network assembles every ATM in the UK and counts 36 member institutions, including banks, building societies and independent ATM operators such as Royal Bank of Scotland, Nationwide and PayPoint.

According to the company, LINK processes almost 1m transactions per hour at peak times, through its 67,000 cash machines, of which at least 45,000 are free-to-use.
