Cathay Pacific Airways, in collaboration with Synchrony Financial, has released new co-branded Visa credit cards that offer exclusive rewards to US travellers.

The Cathay Pacific Visa Platinum and Cathay Pacific Visa Signature cards are being issued by Synchrony Bank.

The Cathay Pacific Visa card programme provides US customers of Cathay Pacific Airways a host of travel benefits on flights to all 173 destinations in 42 countries and territories served by the airline. The cardholders can use their credit card for purchases anywhere Visa credit cards are accepted across the globe.

Available online at cathaypacific.com/uscreditcard, qualifying users can earn up to two Asia Miles per $1 spent on eligible purchases.

Additionally, cardholders can earn 25,000 Asia Miles when they spend $2,500 or more during the first 90 days of opening their account, enough for a one-way upgrade on Cathay Pacific.

Cathay Pacific vice-president of sales and marketing for Americas Eric Odone said: “At Cathay Pacific we’re always striving to create a rewarding and meaningful travel experience.
