Cardknox has launched a Browser-Based POS (BBPOS) Solution, which is designed to address the challenges associated with the integration of EMV-ready payment terminals with browser-based POS systems.

The supplier claims that its new solution makes this integration process easy and facilitates a secure checkout for merchants.

The solution is referred to as a “tray application that runs in the background on a merchant’s computer”.

With BBPOS, businesses can accept payments from any time and location quickly while developers can tailor the user experience on payment terminals, noted the vendor.

The new solution is also said to automate payment flow.

All this is done while addressing security woes as sensitive card information is not stored in the merchant’s server.

The solution is designed to meet the needs of POS systems across varied sectors and supports PAX, Verifone, and Ingenico payment terminals, among others.

Commenting on the new offering, Cardknox CTO Yanky Weiss said: “This technology truly brings developers and merchants added value by bridging the gap between browser-based POS systems and EMV-payment hardware.

“With one easy integration, merchants can enjoy a checkout process that’s customised to their needs, supports the latest security protocols, and eliminates the need for manual data entry.”
