Bred Bank, a commercial bank in Fiji, has reportedly launched its own Visa debit card to offer customers the international reach.

Visa debit cards will enable the bank customers to access their money from any Visa branded ATMs and electronic funds transfer at point of sale (EFTPOS) machine anywhere in the world.

According to a report carried by Fiji Times, the new Visa debit card will comply with EMV security guidelines and will contain a chip embedded in it for card transactions.

Bred Bank CEO Frederic Reynaud said: "We are looking at offering great initiatives towards the commercial segment, while continuing to stimulate the retail segment.

"We want consumers to know that BRED Bank is here to stay and make a difference in their lives, a significant contributor to the economic growth of this country."
