Electronic payments software provider Compass Plus has migrated Brazilian prepaid card issuer BPP to its processing centre.
Compass Plus claims that the migration of BPP was accomplished within just two months.
Brazil prepaid cards
The Brazil prepaid card issuer, which is Compass Plus’ first customer in the Americas, manages multiple corporate and consumer prepaid programmes. This also includes multi-currency virtual and physical accounts, vouchers, and gift cards.
The Compass Plus Processing Centre will be responsible for issuing and processing BPP Visa prepaid card portfolio.
The processing centre is based on Compass Plus’ open development payments platform called TranzAxis. Moreover, the BPP migration to the centre was carried out quickly, requiring only two months.
BPP IT director Mair Calvo said: “Since the beginning of our partnership, Compass Plus has delivered high quality services, advice and customisation where needed.
“Their work has helped us develop Fênix – a brand new digital accounts, prepaid cards and payments platform designed to deliver high performance, safe and smart payments, with the best possible user experience.”
BPP intends to leverage additional TranzAxis features for new products. In addition, an expansion of its card offering in Brazil and across Latin America is planned.
Compass Plus business development director Rafael Marinho said: “We are delighted to provide processing services to BPP, which is making inroads in Latin America with its card products.
“The bank is our first processing customer in the region, and we look forward to sharing success and working together to shape the processing landscape.”
