Payments technology services provider BlueSnap has unveiled a new mobile checkout gateway to deliver a frictionless mobile checkout experience for consumers.

The new solution, dubbed Powered Buy Platform, will help merchants optimize that commerce opportunity and increase their conversions by as much as 40%, the company claims.

BlueSnap has selected Cyber Monday, the online and mobile shopping day of the year, to launch the platform.

The platform will allow retailers to provide numerous checkout experiences, either through an API or a turnkey embedded checkout.

The global payment gateway will also include features such as dynamic eCommerce tools, including offers and coupons, subscription billing, fraud prevention and chargeback management.

BlueSnap said that the platform integration will enable merchants to connect to multiple acquiring banks, and includes a failover mode to maximize payment authorizations.

Additionally, BlueSnap is collaborating with MasterCard and Visa to fund the integration of their online checkout options, MasterPass and Visa Checkout, respectively, into the Powered Buy Platform.

Furthermore, BlueSnap has partnered with PYMNTS.com to launch The Checkout Conversion Index (CCI), a quarterly benchmark report that measures the performance of merchants LOOKING to optimize their global, mobile checkout experience.

The Index reflects the assessment of over 650 online sites across 14 merchant categories, representing 70% of the e-commerce market.

BlueSnap CEO Ralph Dangelmaier said: "We’ve spent the last year optimizing the set of capabilities that merchants need to solve their payments conversion problem — and built that into our Powered Buy Platform. Clients who’ve used it have seen their payment conversions increase dramatically – improving their sales literally overnight."

Visa head of merchant and partner development for digital solutions Amy Dawson said: "Adding Visa Checkout to the BlueSnap platform gives merchants easy access to a payments option that millions of consumers like and use to pay online."

MasterCard group executive market development Michael Cyr said: "By integrating MasterPass into the BlueSnap platform, online merchants are able to deliver a simplified checkout experience helping convert browsers into buyers."
