Barclays Egypt has partnered with e-Finance, an electronic payment provider in Egypt, to introduce a new E-payment service for corporate customers.

The service will enable corporate customers to pay their due taxes and customs duties electronically at any Barclays branch.

The service eliminates the need to go to tax or customs authorities to make payments via bank checks.

Barclays Bank Egypt corporate banking director El Shafei said: "They can now make their tax payments electronically through any of our widespread network of branches nationwide; it’s a time-saver.

"The new service strengthens Barclays role in the Egyptian banking sector. It allows us to provide better service for our clients, and further helps achieve the government plan for all payments to go paperless, which will reflect positively on the Egyptian economy."
