Bank of Scotland has updated its mobile banking app with a new feature that allows users to login to the app through a three click process.
Compatible with iPhone and Android platforms, the updated version requires users to enter three random characters from their memorable information (MI) to login to app.
Bank of Scotland said that it can keep the process down to three clicks because each time they use the app customers will be asked for a different combination of characters from their MI.
Bank of Scotland Community Bank managing director, Robin Bulloch, said they have listened to what their customers want from their mobile banking experience and are pleased to introduce the ‘three click’ login.
"Using this new next generation app, customers will find mobile banking faster, easier and very secure," Bulloch added.
Other banks that offer fast login access to banking apps include Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), which requires users to enter a five-character PIN to login. Lloyds Bank requires its users to enter a password and three-character MI.
