Venezuela-based Banco del Tesoro has announced plans to expand its range of automated teller machine (ATM) services with the installation of 200 new CINEO ATMs from Wincor Nixdorf by July this year.

In addition to the hardware, Wincor Nixdorf will provide software support to enhance security and manage the systems.

Customers will not only be able to use the new ATMs for withdrawing cash, but will also be able to deposit cash and cheques, process passbooks, pay bills, scan invoice information through a barcode reader and acknowledge the credit transfer.

To protect the machines from unauthorised access, viruses, Trojans and spyware, the company will install PC/E Terminal Security on all CINEO systems.

Banco del Tesoro general manager operational bank services, Nancy Rojas, said to grow and reach more customers, they are expanding their branch and self-service network.

"Wincor Nixdorf made us a compelling offer consisting of harmonized hardware and software that allows us to provide optimal customer service," Rojas added.

For the IT service management, Banco del Tesoro will use ProView software, which also comes from Wincor Nixdorf. The software will allow the bank to access all relevant system software at any time and initiate service processes as and when necessary.
