BancABC, a part of financial services holding company Atlas Mara, has rolled out a Visa branded cash card in Tanzania to help in developing cashless society.
The new card will save users from the risk of carrying significant amounts of cash while travelling within or outside the country.

It is a prepaid reloadable card with five different currencies of Tanzanian shillings, US dollars, the Euro, the Sterling pound and the South African rand.
BancABC head of retail and business banking Joyce Malai said that the card can be used by customers and non-customers who do not have accounts with BancABC.
"This card will eliminate the inconveniences and insecurity of carrying cash around and you do not need to open an account with BancABC to have one," Malai added.
The cardholders will be able to access their money anywhere at more than 400 Visa branded ATMs in Tanzania and at 1.3 million Visa branded ATMs across the globe.
