Indian private sector lender Axis Bank has introduced the country’s first Display Debit Card for its Non-Resident External (NRE) customers.
The EMV chip-enabled interactive card features a display screen and touch-sensitive button, allowing customers to generate the One Time Password (OTP) on the card itself.
The OTP, along with the user id and password, helps a customer carry out internet banking transactions seamlessly without the need to wait for OTP delivery through SMS or email.
The card does not charge any international ATM access fee, offering unlimited free international ATM usage.
In addition, it provides customers lounge access, loyalty points on all transactions, air accident insurance of INR2.5m ($37,475.6) and personal accident insurance of INR0.5m ($7,496.2).
