Axiom Prepaid Holdings, a US-based prepaid card issuing firm, has opened a new office in Portugal to expand its international presence.
The new location will distribute the company’s EuroPYM Prepaid Mastercard solution, which is scheduled to be launched later this year.

Axiom Prepaid Holdings president Steven Foster said: “We are pleased to announce the next step in the global expansion of Axiom, with the launch of our Portugal office.
“With the launch of Axioms EuroPYM Prepaid Mastercard in Portugal this summer, our mission is to inspire and empower recipients of our prepaid cards to confidently and efficiently make payments at their choice of merchants.”
The company aims to simplify banking services with the EuroPYM solution. It will operate as an Axiom Prepaid Financial unit, which offers Visa and Mastercard prepaid products.
Currently, Axiom has operations across six European countries, Canada and the US. It is scheduled to foray into the Asia Pacific region later this year.
