American Express (Amex) has signed a global agreement with Hilton Worldwide to provide consumer, corporate and OPEN platinum card members complimentary Hilton HHonors Gold Status.
Currently available for US platinum card members, the new service will be launched for platinum card members across other countries over the coming months.
The alliance will see Hilton Worldwide offer card members access to a wider selection of hotels in 2016, Amex said in a release.
Enrolled platinum card members can get Hilton HHonors Gold Status benefits at over 4,440 participating Hilton Worldwide properties across the globe including 25% bonus points on all Hilton HHonors Base Points earned, 5th reward night free on standard room reward stays of five nights or more, access to hotel-owned-and-operated fitness centres during stays at select properties.
Card members can also receive space-available room upgrades to preferred rooms at Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Curio – A Collection by Hilton, and DoubleTree by Hilton, along with free standard internet access when booking direct, digital check-in, late check-out and express check-out upon request.
