American Express has partnered with Jet Airways to introduce co-branded corporate card for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and their employees in India.
The card, Jet Airways American Express Corporate Card, will allow SMEs (both the company and the employee) to earn rewards in the form of JPMiles on expenses incurred in travel or hotel or dining with business associates which can be redeemed for air tickets.
Companies will benefit from Amex’s expense management solutions including online tools enabling increased visibility and transparency of travel and entertainment expenses, control of expenses by setting spend limits on transactions, flexible billing and options to suit their payment schedules.
The service will offer a welcome bonus of 10,000 JPMiles consisting of three JPMiles for every INR100 ($1.6) spent on travel and entertainment, and six JPMiles for every INR100 ($1.6) spent on air travel bookings through Jet Airways’ website.
Saru Kaushal, country business head of global corporate payments at American Express Banking Corporation in India, said: "Given that most SMEs have very few employees, they lose the benefit of bulk discount deals from service providers, air carriers, hotel offers or dining discounts, for corporate business meetings.
