Ant International’s Alipay+ has connected with Argentina’s national QR payment scheme, Transferencias 3.0, through a partnership with Latin America-focused fintech PVS.
In a statement, the company said the integration is designed to let international travellers make QR code payments across Argentina. The service will be available at participating merchants, including restaurants, shopping centres and tourist attractions.

Transactions will be processed as cross-border payments via Alipay+ using the Transferencias 3.0 acceptance infrastructure.
Transferencias 3.0 is an interoperable instant payment system developed by the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA). It enables consumers to pay using any participating digital wallet or banking app by scanning a single QR code.
Ant International said Alipay+ connects 150 million merchants to more than 50 digital wallets and banking apps.
The Argentina connection follows Alipay+’s partnership with PVS announced in May 2026. That deal focused on rolling out cross-border mobile payment services in Argentina and Chile.
Ant International Alipay+ General Manager for North Asia and the Americas Weixiao Jiang said: “Argentina’s highly interoperable digital payment ecosystem creates a strong foundation for seamless digital commerce.
“We’re honoured to integrate with the national QR payment scheme through the partnership with PVS. By connecting travellers from key international markets with a broad network of merchants, we hope to help boost inbound visitor spending, supporting the country’s tourism economy while bringing more opportunities for local businesses.”
PVS CEO Lucio Colunga said: “Through our partnership with Alipay+, we are giving merchants across Latin America access to one of the world’s largest digital payment ecosystems, connecting them with more than 2 billion user accounts worldwide.
“This enables international travellers to pay with the wallets they already know and trust while creating new growth opportunities for businesses across the region.”
Ant International said it is also expanding cross-border payments and financial services partnerships across Latin America.
Earlier this year, Alipay launched AI Wallet and Token Pay to support payments in what it described as the “agentic economy”.
