Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, a not-for-profit, member-owned financial services cooperative, has selected FIS, a global banking and payments technology company, as its partner for several strategic payment initiatives.

The new deal will encompass EMV card personalization, debit card processing, ATM driving, fraud management services and NYCE Network access.

It will also allow Alaska USA extend its existing credit card processing relationship with Card Services for Credit Unions (CSCU).

FIS North American Retail Payments executive vice president Bruce Lowthers said: "Alaska USA was looking to gain operational efficiencies. Coupled with the quality of customer service it had received in the past, it was confident FIS could help it further serve its members – now, and as it grows over time."

Alaska USA Federal Credit Union’s Retail Financial Services executive director Brian Wolf said: "The breadth of FIS’ leading-edge capabilities offered us the kind of modern payments services that our members are looking for."
