Air Namibia has partnered with Wirecard, a digital financial technology firm, to provide payment processing and risk management services for its expanded portfolio of accepted credit cards.

Apart from Visa and MasterCard, the national airline of Namibia has also decided to accept Diners/Discover and JCB credit cards for payment on its website.

Air Namibia manager of Corporate Communications, Paul Nakawa said: “We strive to always meet the service expectations of our customers, for whom booking tickets online or via travel agents is an essential service.

“We are delighted to be able to offer our passengers improved credit card acceptance around the world from a single source, thereby making the booking process even more convenient than before.”

Currently, the airline uses International Air Transport Association (IATA) interface for easy and quick processing of payments through Wirecard’s multi-channel payment gateway at local travel agencies.

Intended for both in-store and online channels, the latest deal will provide improved convenience and choice during payment for Air Namibia bookings.
