Air Canada has unveiled plans to launch the revamped Aeroplan loyalty program in November this year in a bid to increase membership amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Following the unveiling of the new plan by the airline, Canadian banking giants TD Bank and CIBC announce plans to enhance their suite of Aeroplan Visa credit cards.

Furthermore, American Express Canada also confirmed that it will continue its partnership with the loyalty program and launch a newly redesigned suite of Aeroplan Cards.

The revamped plan, which will be launched on 8 November, will allow all members to book seats on any Air Canada flight using Aeroplan points. Currently, seat inventory is limited.

Furthermore, the carrier surcharge will be eliminated on flights purchased with points. However, a $39 fee will apply for trips operated by partner airlines of Air Canada.

Aeroplan cardmembers can use redeemable points to gain access to seat upgrades and Wi-Fi.
