Global payment solutions provider Ingenico has signed an agreement with its local value added reseller, African Resonance, to supply its new generation payment devices to Standard Bank, a Pan-African banking group.
The partnership between the firms represents a new outsourcing business model that will strengthen Ingenico’s position in South Africa.

In addition to supplying devices such as Countertop and Wireless, both Ingenico and African Resonance will offer secure management of services to Standard Bank under the agreement.
The new business model will allow Standard Bank to develop the management of their payment services like hardware, software, installation, remote management, device swap, warranty and repairs.
Ingenico EMEA executive vice president Jacques Behr, said: "This partnership reflects our strategy in supporting our banking customer with efficient and customized payment services. This will also enable us to significantly expand our positions in South Africa, one of our key markets in the region."
