Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has partnered with UAE-based telecom group Etisalat to launch four new covered cards.
Dubbed ADIB Smiles cards, the new offering comes in Signature, Platinum, Gold and Classic variants. They offer a suite of deals and lifestyle rewards to customers.
These Visa co-branded cards are linked to Etisalat’s Smiles engagement platform, which has on-boarded more than two million customers and over 850 participating brands on the Smiles mobile app.
The Signature and Platinum premium tiers come with additional benefits like airport lounge access, roadside assistance, and valet parking at a wide range of premises.
Visa UAE general manager Shahebaz Khan said: “Visa is delighted to partner with ADIB and Etisalat to launch this suite of Visa co-branded cards that offer rewards and experiences tailored for cardholders across different segments.”

By GlobalDataThe members can earn and redeem Smiles points for Etisalat partner products and services, and avail discount offers like ‘buy 1 get 1 free’ at over 3,700 outlets experiences.
Upon signing up for the card, customers get up to 100,000 Smiles points, and thereafter up to 30 points for every AED5 spent.
Etisalat CCO Khaled ElKhouly said: “With the new ADIB Smiles cards, customers can rack up rewards quickly and maximise the value they receive when buying vouchers on the Smiles app across all lifestyle categories such as grocery, clothes shopping, insurance, and travel, among others.”
ADIB global head of retail banking Philip King said: “Working closely with Etisalat, we have enhanced our range of ADIB Smiles covered cards to provide a more attractive offer to users of the Smiles app.
“ADIB has a large number of customers who use the Smiles app and these co-branded cards will enable them to unlock a range of benefits.”
