Acculynk, a global PIN-debit authentication gateway, has enabled US merchants to accept China’s Union Pay PIN debit cards on their Chinese websites by using its PaySecure International graphical PIN pad for UPOP authentication.

According to Acculynk, PaySecure International will allow merchants in the US to accept and authenticate Union Pay cards with the same PaySecure PIN pad used for internet PIN debit transactions with US cardholders.

The added advantage of PayScure is that it will enable Chinese consumers make payment by following the normal UPOP procedures but without being redirected to a separate site.

Acculynk added that merchants will not have to make any further technical changes to enable incremental international markets once PaySecure is integrated.

Airbnb will be the first US-based merchant to leverage PaySecure International to access UnionPay PIN debit cardholders.

Acculynk CEO Ashish Bahl said: "By enabling both in-country and cross-border purchases, we enable the borderless customer, the customer who is seeking to purchase what they want, when they want to, regardless of borders.
