Spain’s Abanca Bank has deployed Entrust Datacard financial instant issuance solutions for in-branch issuance of permanent, personalized credit, debit and prepaid cards.
The end-to-end solution includes Datacard CE870 instant issuance systems and associated supplies for personalization of cards, the flagship Datacard CardWizard instant issuance software as well as on-site maintenance services.

The Galicia-based lender has already deployed Datacard financial instant issuance systems in their primary branches in last October, and will launch their program to additional branches in the coming months.
The Datacard solutions will allow the lender to walk into their local branch, and open a new account.
With the Datacard solutions, customers can also request an emergency card replacement for a lost or stolen card and instantly receive a secure and activated card. Customers can use their new card immediately for purchases as well as ATM withdrawals.
Abanca Bank innovation director Eduardo Aldao said: "We now have the ability to eliminate the traditional waiting period for cards to be delivered through the mail which improves the overall customer experience."
