1st Capital Bank has partnered with electronic
payment processor, First Data to power its online banking
services.
A joint statement said that First Data’s
online banking technology will offer 1st Capital account
holders the ability to manage their finances efficiently and
securely with financial management tools, through an interface that
creates the feeling of a virtual bank.
“This relationship with First Data enables us
to provide robust, secure online banking services to our
customers,” said David A. Szafranski, senior marketing vice
president for 1st Capital Bank.
“First Data’s Online Banking solution delivers
a suite of services and functions that our customers need for 24/7
access to their accounts online, with security features that can
help them feel confident that their information is protected.”
The bank said that the ability to deliver
account access at all times is of paramount importance to the
bank’s commitment and relationship with its customers.
This initiative follows on from First Data’s
merchant acquiring business arm partnering with UK-based Volusion –
provider of e-commerce shopping cart software – to provide
additional payment services in
December 2011.
