Prepaid software developer VendTek is set to
join Afghanistan’s leading telecommunications provider to help
promote the country’s financial services industry.
The partnership with M-Paisa – the country’s
first mobile money transfer service – is aimed at widening
VendTek’s reach in the country. As per the agreement, as well as
providing consultancy support to M-Paisa, VendTek will develop
additional functions for mobile money.

Currently, M-Paisa provides services to 97% of
the unbanked population of Afghanistan
