Mobile Money by T-Mobile has launched a new feature on its Visa prepaid card, allowing cardholders to use the Allpoint ATM network in the US without paying a surcharge.
With Mobile Money, registered T-Mobile wireless customers do not have to pay when withdrawing cash from an Allpoint ATM using their T-Mobile prepaid card.

Taylor Collyer, senior director of marketing at T-Mobile, explained: "When T-Mobile began developing the Mobile Money program, a key goal was to use the smartphone to help consumers both manage their money and keep more of it in their pocket.
"The Allpoint network helps us accomplish that mission," he added.
This means that cardholders can now look for the nearest of the 43,000 Allpoint ATMs by using the Allpoint network ATM locator, available online and as a free app for smartphones.
"Easy access to cash, preferably without the surcharge imposed by the ATM owner, is at the heart of the most successful general-purpose prepaid card programs," said Bill Knoll, executive vice president at Cardtronics, the company that acquired Allpoint in 2005.
