Third-party processor Elavon is partnering with payment tech
firm NewNet to penetrate the growing Brazilian market.

Elavon will be supported by NewNet’s solution portfolio which
includes the Total Control 1000 (TC1000) dial gateway and
AccessGuard platforms.

Elavon says this high-speed transaction network has the capacity
to handle several million transactions annually.

The commercial deployment of the TC1000 is the backbone of the
alliance. Elavon expects carriers and acquirers to expand
traditional payments into the mobile and broadband arenas.

Speaking about the partnership, NewNet’s CEO P.J. Louis said:
“The high density TC1000 solution inter-operates with Point of Sale
devices from any manufacturer. Our payment transaction customers
require this kind of innovative performance.”

Elavon intends to develop the capability to provide mobile
payments services through NFC and Bluetooth-enabled devices and
tablets in the Brazilian markets, which has shown significant
growth in terms of consumer spending and appetite for credit.
