IT services provider Atos Origin and security
company CASSIS International are working together to make mobile
near-field communication (NFC) services available across
Europe.
The two technology companies are seeking to
develop services that banks, public transport operators
and telcos can roll out to their customers.

Both parties have been developing NFC
capabilities in varying ways. Atos has concentration
on transaction processes and CASSIS has utilised its Trusted
Management Services (TSM) solution to investigate
the integration of the technology into SIM cards, SD cards and
operating systems.
“This agreement will provide us with a unique
opportunity to combine our TSM solutions with the capacity of Atos
Origin to manage complex projects and operate critical
transactional services for large accounts with high-spec SLAs in
secure data centres,” said Shin Jin Won, EVP for technology and
services and CASSIS International.
