Datacard Group, a US-based secure ID and card personalisation solutions provider, has launched its new EMV Professional Services to allow financial institutions, retailers and service bureaus to migrate to an EMV smart card programme.

According to Datacard, the new EMV Professional Service offerings will include EMV workshops and training services, assessment & planning services, implementation services, and support services.

In addition, the organisations will also have the flexibility to customise these services to meet their business requirements.

Datacard Group vice president of global solutions and professional services, Jeff Davison, said: "With the 2015 EMV liability shift quickly approaching in the US, it is very important for organisations to not only understand how this will impact them, but also what a smart card payment ecosystem looks like so they can help support it.

"We understand the hurdles, cost and need for educational resources, which is why we developed a portfolio of EMV professional services offerings that can help simplify and support them in this EMV migration path."
