Air Mauritius has assigned electronic
payments solutions provider Wirecard to process all its online
payment transactions.

A joint statement said the new payment gateway
aims to bring added benefits for customers to transact on the Air
Mauritius website.

Apart from MasterCard and Visa-branded
credit cards, customers will now be able to pay with American
Express, Discover JCB, Diners, Maestro, Visa Electron and Carte
Bleue debit cards.

The initiative will also allow quotations for
airline tickets and payments in multiple currencies.

André Viljoen, acting CEO of Air Mauritius
said:

“e-commerce is high on our agenda as we
continue to offer more flexibility and more choice to our
customers. We are witnessing a growing number of visits on our
website and online purchases are also on the rise.
