Visa Europe has joined forces with German payment service provider Computop for the large scale implementation of its digital wallet service V.me by Visa.
Under the partnership, Computop will offer the technical expertise required to integrate the digital wallet as an online payment solution for German e-commerce retailers.
Additionally, Computop will also roll out V.me by Visa to essential e-commerce shop systems, thus making the solution available to small and mid-sized merchants.
The deal will also see Visa and Computop working together in terms of marketing, public relations and sales.
Available for use across Europe, V. me by Visa allows consumers to include their debit and credit cards from different issuers in the digital wallet, which can be used to pay while shopping online.
The V.me service allows users to complete their payment process in just three clicks and also makes online shopping safer as the full card details are not shared with the retailer.
