Wines marketer Traveling Vineyard has selected CardFlight, a mobile POS technology provider, to allow its distributors to accept credit card payments on tablets and smartphones.
To help sales consultants plan and organise tastings, Traveling Vineyard has designed an iOS application that integrates CardFlight's software development kit (SDK), encrypted mobile card readers and payment gateway.
Wine Guides can now accept both magnetic stripe and EMV chip card payments by connecting CardFlight’s Eclipse A200 card reader to a smart phone or tablet and using the Traveling Vineyard application.
CardFlight CEO and founder Derek Webster said: "We're excited to work with Traveling Vineyard, a leader in the direct selling industry, and enable them to accept safe and secure card payments from anywhere, at anytime.
"Our mission is to enable companies to use the latest payments technology in their own apps, and Traveling Vineyard is a great example of that."
Traveling Vineyard partner Huib Geerlings said: "We are devoted to our Wine Guides' success, and we look forward to empowering them with the latest mobile payments technology through CardFlight, so they can focus on what they do best without worrying about payments."
