Pivotal Payments, a payment processing provider, has partnered with Tender Retail, a provider of payment integration software solutions, to develop a new EMV integrated payment service that serves the retail and quick service restaurant industries.

The partnership will help both the companies to reach a broader market allowing Pivotal Payments to better respond to the different card acceptance environments north and south of the border.
Pivotal will mobilize its direct and indirect Canadian sales channels to offer integrated solutions to a broader range of merchants, ISVs and VARs while in the US, the firm will use its technology support to assist ISVs, VARs and merchants in establishing their respective strategies prior to the EMV liability shift deadline.
The solution will combine the features of Pivotal Payments’ hardware, software and middleware platform FlexPoint, and Tender Retail’s flagship EMV-certified middleware software MCM.
