Most of the companies in Australia charge high fees for prepaid products, but customers do not have to pay any fees for paysafecard.

Paysafecard CEO, Michael Mueller, said: "We enter the Australian market with high expectations as we see a great potential for our prepaid payment solution. The majority of consumers in Australia still rely on cash.

"Many Australians also have safety concerns when it comes to paying online. This makes our product particularly interesting for Australia as customers can use paysafecard as safely, easily and fast as cash."

By partnering with epay and Touch Networks, paysafecard starts with a distribution network of over 12,000 outlets in Australia. Further co-operations with sales and distribution partners will follow over the coming weeks.
