Mint Payments, an Australia-based payments processing technology provider, has signed a three year licence and distribution agreement with travel agency software solution provider Tramada Systems.
Under the agreement, Tramada will deliver Mint Payments’ fully integrated online payments processing service, Minternet.

Using Minternet’s API software, Tramada has developed an integrated credit card module, called Tramada Payment Gateway, which will available to all of its customers as a core product offering within Tramada’s suite of travel agency software solutions.
Mint said that it will receive a share of the merchant acquiring services and transaction fees, as well as a monthly fee charged to each travel agency.
Mint’s online payment gateway service will allow Tramada’s network of travel agencies to easily process online credit card payments, generate invoices and receipts as part of the Tramada automated travel booking process.
"This partnership creates the opportunity for Tramada travel agencies to take advantage of cost competitive merchant acquiring services provided by Mint, with additional process and cost efficiencies that will drive a significant improvement in customer experience," Mint said in a statement.

By GlobalDataTramada currently has network of approximately 300 travel agencies process around three million travel bookings per year, representing nearly $4bn of travel spend. Its customer base includes over 60 government departments, agencies and universities, 80 large multinationals and 100 ASX listed companies.

Tramada and Mint systems have completed their implementation and integration and the tramada Payment Gateway is now available as part of Tramada’s core product offering.
