Citizens Bank has signed a seven-year extension for its agreement with Fiserv for multiple digital payment capabilities comprising CheckFree RXP, Popmoney and TransferNow, along with the small business versions of each of these services.

The agreement will allow the bank to continue leveraging Fiserv’s technology and offer electronic bill payment, person-to-person payment and account-to-account transfer functionalities to meet its retail and small business customer payments needs.
CheckFree RXP will allow Citizens Bank customers to receive electronic bills (e-bills) from hundreds of billers and to have control over the bill payment process while Popmoney will facilitate sending money from an existing bank account using a recipient’s name and email address or mobile phone number.
TransferNow will enable customers to transfer funds to or from their own non-Citizens Bank accounts eliminating extra steps involved in withdrawing and depositing money at different banks.
