Discover Financial Services has partnered payment processor Nets to bolster its card acceptance in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
The deal follows Discover’s recent partnership with 3C Payment and Oceanpayment to increase the acceptance of its cards.
Furthermore, Nets portfolio includes a variety of domestic and international payment brands.
As part of the latest partnership, the payment processor will collaborate with existing and potential merchant partners. This will support the expanded acceptance of Discover, Diners Club International, PULSE and affiliate network cards.
Nets head of commercial management at Merchant Services Anne Marie said: “This is a great opportunity for Nordic merchants to welcome not only the large volumes of international cardholders that use these schemes today, but also the potential Nordic cardholders in the future.”
Discover senior vice-president of global acceptance Amy Parsons said: “We are seeing a rise in popularity for the Nordic region as a business and tourist destination.
