Philippines-based first non-bank institution Home Credit has introduced a new credit card which allows customers to make payments using QR codes.

The new card launch is in response to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Home Credit’s cardholders can now make purchases without having to bring their cards or wallets.

Once cardholders update their My Home Credit app to latest version, they can make payments by scanning the QR codes at participating merchants.

Through this new feature, the cardholders can pay for their purchases at AUB PayMate partner stores nationwide.

Once they make payments by scanning a QR code, their Home Credit Card will be automatically charged.

Additionally, cardholders can earn 1% cashback for each such purchase.
