The investment comes as Ingenico’s recently appointed CEO, Floris de Kort, advances the company’s shift toward cloud-based payment technology.

De Kort said: “This agreement gives Ingenico the ability to move faster on the priorities that matter most: building great products, simplifying payment operations and delivering for our customers and partners.

“With a strong balance sheet and new capital in place, we can execute better and invest in the areas that will define our next phase. We have the foundation, the priorities, and a team that knows how to deliver. I’ve never been more confident that Ingenico’s best years are ahead of us.”

As part of this push, the company is expanding its Customer Excellence team, with new offices planned for London, San Francisco, and Istanbul. These locations will house account managers, solutions engineers, and customer support managers who will work directly with customers and partners.

Ingenico is also expanding its AXIUM line of Android-based payment devices, a point-of-sale range that targets retailers, banks, acquirers, and fintech companies. The devices support future Android version upgrades while deployed in the field.

Ingenico employs more than 3,000 people across 32 countries.

The funding announcement follows Ingenico’s earlier partnership this year with WalletConnect Pay, which enabled stablecoin payments at checkout.

At the time, the companies said shoppers could pay with USDC on Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, Ethereum Mainnet, and other EVM-compatible blockchains, with more networks expected to follow.
