The partnership is intended to help merchants operate across different payment environments by connecting them to locally regulated payment infrastructure.
Under the partnership, businesses using MoneyHash can work with a licenced local acquirer and access payment acceptance services in Bahrain. These include POS acquiring and connectivity to payment gateways in Bahrain, alongside additional digital payment options.
MoneyHash positions its platform as a way for merchants to reduce operational complexity when scaling across multiple markets.
In a statement, the company said businesses can connect to multiple payment providers through orchestration, and optimise transaction routing. It will also enable the merchants to monitor payment performance across markets through a single layer.
The collaboration is also expected to support interoperability with digital banks in Bahrain and provide merchants with more options across evolving payment ecosystems.
MoneyHash co-founder and CEO Nader Abdelrazik said: “Growth in markets like Bahrain requires more than access, it requires control over how payments are routed, optimised, and scaled.
“Through our partnership with EazyPay, we’re enabling businesses to operate with greater flexibility locally, while building the infrastructure needed to scale across the region.”
EazyPay provides payment services in Bahrain across in-store and online channels. Its product set includes smart POS devices, SoftPOS, and online payment gateway services.
The gateway supports debit and credit cards, digital wallets including Apple Pay and BenefitPay, and alternative payment methods. The company also supports digital mobile payments for both ecommerce and in-store transactions.
EazyPay founder, managing director, and CEO Nayef Tawfeeq said: “Partnering with MoneyHash allows us to support businesses entering Bahrain with trusted local infrastructure while contributing to a more connected and efficient payments landscape.
Last year, MoneyHash announced a strategic collaboration with Saudi fintech firm Amwal Tech to broaden flexible payment solutions in Saudi Arabia.
