MoonPay has launched its enterprise stablecoin business, marking a step in its evolution into a global payments network.

As part of this expansion, it has integrated with M0, the open infrastructure powering developers of application-specific stablecoins.

The integration enables the company to issue and manage fully reserved digital dollars across multiple blockchains, thereby providing partners with the tools to deploy tailored and interoperable stablecoins at scale. 

Stablecoins that are issued via MoonPay will be available across its global distribution network. It spans buy, sell, swap, deposit, and checkout products, which in turn provides immediate access and real-world utility.

The company’s recent acquisition of Iron has enabled MoonPay to cover the entire stablecoin value chain, including issuance, ramps, swaps, and payments.

This partnership offers firms with the technology and distribution required to bring stablecoin solutions quickly and securely to the market.

Meanwhile, MoonPay has appointed Zach Kwartler as head of Stablecoins to lead its enterprise stablecoin business.

Zach joins MoonPay from Paxos, where he is said to have built and scaled white-label stablecoin and crypto infrastructure products that power platforms including Interactive Brokers, Mercado Libre and PayPal.
