US-based digital cards service provider Ondot Systems has collaborated with Visa Token Service (VTS) to enable cardholders to add their Visa cards to their digital wallets.
Under the partnership, Ondot will extend its tokenization services to Visa through its Card app to support the use of Visa cards and e-commerce on digital wallets.
By doing so, Visa will tokenize credential-on-file digital payments on behalf of its clients to provide an additional level of security to cardholders.
Card issuers can leverage the app to provide digital wallets to cardholders, where they can sign up instantly and gain access to spending insights, safety controls, and self-service tools.
Cardholders can use these digital wallets to buy goods and services using the Visa cards they have added on file.
They can load the card instantly the moment they receive it and start using it and also make a particular card their preferred payment method.
