NFC software and systems provider
VIVOtech has sold its reader business VIVOpay to ID Tech, a
smart card and credit card reader manufacturer based in
California.
VIVOpay trademark includes contactless-NFC
readers for point of sale, self-service kiosk, and vending
applications that compliment ID Tech’s product offerings.

The firm has decided to divest this arm of the
business to focus on its VIVOnfc Software business.
ID Tech produces PCI payment solutions used in
POS terminals and mobile applications.
VIVOtech has been a forerunner in developing
software and hardware NFC payment and promotion solutions.
Its software enables consumers to download
applications including payment card credentials, retail loyalty
points, and e-vouchers over-the-air (OTA) via SMS to mobile wallets
stored on their handset.
